Enlightened and sound absorbing sheep
Vilt aan Zee is a studio that creates unique and sustainable lamps and wall panels. The designs of Vilt aan Zee are made out of 100 % sheepwool processed into felt. Felt is the perfect natural material for lampshades and wall panels – it has a warm atmosphere and it is sound absorbing. Every design is handmade and produced locally in a studio in the lively center of the Hague.
Small and big
Vilt aan Zee offers different types of felted lamps sorted in a few collections – LOMOCO, Felt+Paper and Unica. Every lamp is made by hand and on request, therefore the lamps vary in shape and color. The size of the lampshade is up to you, starting from 25 cm till 100 cm. If you would like to add something personal to your lamp, we can create a lamp with colors of your choice or various decorations.
Beside lamps we create unique wall panels. Together we can think about the design of this panel, from organic shapes to something abstract. After choosing the design, colors and size we will create your personal wall panel.

Shop and studio Vilt aan Zee
In a lively street in the center of The Hague our shop – Vilt aan Zee – is located. In addition to the various examples of lampshades and wall panels you can find here for inspiration, you can take a look at ‘the making of’ process, as the shop is also the place of production.
You are very welcome to visit the shop. On Thursdays and Fridays you can walk in between 12.00h and 17.00h, or contact us to make an appointment for another date or time.
