The workshops take place in my shop, which is also my studio. In this space I am normally busy making lamps and wall hangings but I also like to combine my work with meeting other people, like you, to teach about felting.
You can choose between different techniques like wet felting and needle felting, 2d or 3d. Or a combination of all techniques during the three day course.
At the end of each workshop, you'll have enjoyed an educational and cheerful afternoon, and you'll take home a unique piece of art. If you're inspired to continue at home, you can purchase all the materials you need from my shop.

The first lesson you will learn how the felting process works. I explain all kinds of things about the wool, the technique and the possibilities. You will experience how it works by making your own little painting out of wool. During this lesson you can use the carding mill to mix colors and make a nice gradient in colors. You can also add details using the dry-felt technique.
The second lesson I will show you how to felt a vase or a bottle. Bring an object you like and give it your own color or drawing. My favorite class because the result is always surprising!
The third lesson is different for each course. For example, we can make a relief in felt.
Optioneel: When you have created something beautiful it comes out best when it is framed. Bring some frames and together we will determine a nice composition and crop the work so it can be framed. This morning takes 2 hours and is for those who want it. I ask € 25,00 extra for this.

During this workshop you will learn how to felt a 3d object. For example, you could choose a bottle, a bowl, tea lights or something crazy like a porcelain rabbit. You will create a cover, so to speak, that will seamlessly fit the object.
There a lot's of colored wool available and you can use the carding mill to mix colors. That way you can create a subtle gradient of colors. It is always surprising how you can really make something beautiful in a short time.
You can bring your own object or choose one (+ €2.50/€5.00/€7.50).
After this workshop, you will be familiar with the technique of wet felting, know how to make a seamless cover and be able to make your own mold.
So you will know everything to continue at home!

In this workshop we use barbed needles to connect wool. So there is no water involved this time. It is a kind of modeling and drawing with wool.
You can choose what you want to make. This can be 2D or 3D.
A self-portrait , a Christmas ball in the shape of a polar bear, a real looking apple, a felt flower, etc. If you want to recreate something, it is helpful to bring a photo.
For this workshop you don't need any experience, just patience and some fine motor skills :). Once you get the hang of it you won't be able to stop!
You can also apply this technique to previously made felted works. This way you can combine wet felting with needle felting.
If you are enthusiastic then you can purchase items in the store to get started at home.
