Felt wall panels bring your space to life with color and ambiance, while also improving acoustics
Each panel is custom-made. In my studio, we discuss the desired appearance, dimensions, and colors. First, I create two sample swatches. Based on these, I create the final piece that combines your wishes with my style and expertise.
To simplify the choice, I have divided the wall panels into four categories: the painterly wall panels, the wall panels as color fields, the wall panels where the round shape is central, and finally, the wall panels with relief.
You can choose whether you want the piece framed as a painting or if you prefer to attach it to the wall as a canvas.
I provide a quote for each panel. With the price list can you already provide a preliminary estimate
I love to make you an unique piece!
Wall works reminiscent of an abstract landscape.
Layering the wool is an intuitive process, similar to painting.
I use the carding mill to mix the wool into the desired shades. I then lay the different colors of wool on top of each other in several layers.
Together we will determine in advance what color combination will work best in your space. In my studio I have an extensive collection of wool in a variety of colors to choose from.
You can also choose how you want to hang the canvas. As a painting or for example as a loose canvas. We determine the type of wood when the canvas is ready.
The murals can be inspired by a particular mood, landscape or work of art. You can suggest your own ideas, and I have many examples in my studio for inspiration.
Before I start felting the final piece, I make two small sample patches. After discussing these, I will create the final work.
Combinations of color areas
In these canvases, I do not pre-mix the wool with the carding mill, but the colors mix through the felting process. By laying thin layers of wool of different colors on top of each other and then felting, the underlying colors become visible. The top color is dominant, but if you look closely, you can see the underlying colors appearing through the top layer.
The combination of several canvases side by side in different colors creates a beautiful acoustic work of art.

A bright shape in contrasting colors.
These wall pieces are inspired by the lamp making process where the wool is laid from a central point.
I usually create these works in two contrasting colors such as dark blue and white. The transition of the two colors gives a sense of movement.
The circle is a powerful, clear shape that keeps you looking at it despite its simplicity.
In addition to the canvases with a round image, I also make works for the wall that are round in themselves.
Wallwork with three-dimensional texture
Felt is a perfect material in which to create a relief.
As with the strong form of the circle, my preference is for rhythms and clear figures.
The three-dimensional aspect creates a shadow play that combines very nicely with the soft and sometimes shiny look of the material.
In these wall works, I usually use only one color to focus attention on the form.
A wooden frame like a painting or just a hanging tapestry.
There are several ways to hang the felt canvas. The wishes about the type of wood and the thickness of the frame, we obviously discuss with the customer in advance.
With the first two options, a wool blanket can be placed behind the fabric for additional soundproofing.
The frames are made by my neighbor across the street on Boekhorststraat, Willems Werkplaats.
1. The canvas will be framed in a wooden frame of your choice. This can be for example, Oak, Walnut or Cherry wood. With this choice, the felt work looks like a painting.
2. The canvas is "glued" to a wooden frame. The underlying frame is slightly smaller than the canvas, creating a floating effect.
3. The fabric is hung loosely. A batten is placed at the top and bottom to keep the fabric straight. This choice best preserves the character of the tapestry.
The panels are made to your specifications. Besides the design and color, you can also choose between different frames and whether you want to add an additional acoustic blanket behind the felt cloth.
Prior to the final work, we will make an offer and two test patches of 20 cm x 30 cm. After that you decide whether you want to continue. For the samples we charge € 100.00. Should you agree and you do not want to keep the small patches, then this will be refunded to you.
€ 100,00 in mindering gebracht op het totaal bedrag.
